The history of civil and military flying will be the focus of the five-day Orkney Aviation Festival to be held from 10 - 14 September. There will be references to the world's shortest - the scheduled flights between Westray and Papa Westray as well as to the contrast - between the ancient and and the innovative with the Old Man of Hoy being closely monitored by a Loganair Islander.
