Focus on Ravenspoint

This panorama view focuses on the Ravenspoint Visitors' Centre at Kershader in the South Lochs of the Isle of Lewis. Attention will certainly be on the extensions to the Centre which are being formally opened on Tuesday 5 July at 5.00 pm. Here will be an opportunity to see and sample the new cafe, with its views of Loch Erisort, as well as to look at the exhibition room and other facilities. There will be a presentation and discussion on rural transport technologies led by Dr David Corsar of Aberdeen University - at 7.00 pm. Do consider Ravenspoint - for it's a special place to visit.

There were about 50 people at the opening ceremony during which an older female and a young male member of the community cut the ribbon. Not everyone was able to attend the evening session, which proved to be informative and applicable.

Congratulations from Holland.
Last spring we visit Ravanspoint and although there was a renovation going on, we loved our visit, the coffee and talking with people in the shop.

We specialy thank Margaret for her friendly help and information. We enjoy reading about our favorite Scottish islands very much. The backnumbers of your fantastic magazin we bought from Margaret will help us through the winter to our next visit to the isles.
