A Windfall Expected

Wind farms on Shetland - with this one at Burradale - are becoming more common. However, the community-backed one near Cullivoe, Yell, could well be special and bring 'wind-falls' of some £1 million for local projects. As was said, it 'breezed' through planning and has progressed well in the early stages of erection, benefiting from relatively fine weather. The turbines have to be up-and-running, generating income to pay off capital before local funds will be filling. It's all in Shetland News.
