Best in 17 Years


Mingulay was abandoned by its human residents in 1912 and its bird numbers have fluctuated ever since. However, the National Trust for Scotland, which manages the island almost at the end of the Outer Hebridean chain, reports the best season in 17 years for guillemots and razorbills.
